This month, we’re exploring the imaginative world of Yayoi Kusama ― the world’s top selling living female artist – instantly recognizable for her hypnotic polka dot motifs and mirrored infinity environments.
For Kusama, the humble pumpkin is a lifelong muse―an everyday object elevated to fine art. She sees in its rotund curves a friendly presence that feels both whimsical and reassuring. From monumental seaside sculptures to mirrored infinity rooms, her pumpkins invite us to pause, smile, and see the extraordinary in the ordinary. In this communal workshop, children can take inspiration from Kusama’s art and create their own dotted pumpkin masterpiece. Using a special mold, they will form their shape, then paint their linear dots. The result?
